Today was the big day. Sweetpea got her cast removed.It went well. She thought the machine tickled. She's still saying her wrist and fingers are stiff - which isn't surprising.
After it was removed, the doctor came in and took a look at it to make sure all was well. She still has a bruise on her knuckle, but the doc said that is normal and it would go away in a few days. He doesn't see her having any difficulties after a few days, but in the rare chance she does, just give them a call and bring her back in and they'll check her out.
We decided to keep the cast - at least temporarily. Scrapbooking mom has to have some decent pictures LOL. However, I don't think we'll be keeping it too long - it's amazing how smelly a cast can get in two weeks in the state of Florida in summer!
It was a little further than we had wanted to drive, but it was worth it! The staff was great and made Sweetpea relaxed during both visits. We liked them, but hope we don't have to see them again :)
