Casting Call...

And we were doing so well... 6 1/2 years and Sweetpea had avoided any major injuries aside from the typical child scrapes and bruises.

Last evening hubby called me at work after picking her up from camp to tell me he was probably bringing her in to be seen. She had apparently injured her pinky finger at camp and it was all swollen and black and blue and she was complaining that it hurt.
He was about to get mad at somebody at the camp for not taking care of her or letting us know she had been injured when she told him that she hadn't told anybody!! This happened first thing in the morning - and she spent the entire day swimming and playing with an injured finger!!

She had x-rays taken and they showed a possible fracture at the growth plate - not the best spot as if it goes untreated she will end up with a "short finger" and other issues as she grows. So she ended up coming home with her entire right hand and lower arm bandaged in a temporary cast and we have to call a pediatric ortho this morning and try to get her in.

First hubby, then me and now Sweetpea... this better be all the injuries in our family for awhile!
